The public body members of the responsible committees of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences elected eight colleagues of our Institute as voting committee members for the period from 2021 till 2023 during the elections held between December 10th and January 12th.

The joint research of the Department of Soil Mapping and Environmental Informatics, and the Department of Soil Chemistry and Turnover "Influence of the Shortening of the Winter Fertilization Prohibition Period in Hungary Assessed by Spatial Crop Simulation Analysis" has been published in journal Sustainibility.

An emblematic, internationally reputable scientist of Hungarian soil science, soil mapping and soil classification, a regular member of the MTA, emeritus professor at Szent István University and perpetual president of the Hungarian Soil Science Society, Pál Stefanovits was born 100 years ago.
